What is a Pediatric Dentist?
A pediatric dentist is a specialist, dedicated to the oral health of children from infancy through the teens.
The very young, pre-teens, and teens all need special dental care. Pediatric dentists have been specially trained in dealing with these patients' behavior, guiding their dental growth and development and helping them avoid future dental problems.
This training allows pediatric dentists to provide the most up-to-date and thorough treatment for a wide variety of children's dental problems. Pediatric dentists are especially qualified to treat patients who have emotional, physical, or mental handicaps. Because of this specialized commitment, many parents wisely choose a pediatric dentist to treat their children.
Dr. Marilyn Sandor
is one of the area’s favorite pediatric dentists. She wants to make each visit to Naples Pediatric Dentistry a successful and enjoyable experience for your child.
She understands that children are curious, energetic and always learning. This is what makes her work so rewarding; working with and teach them the importance of oral health care now and throughout their lives.
Dr. Sandor received her Bachelor's degree in Biology from the University of Chicago. She attended the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Dentistry and after receiving her D.D.S. degree, she completed specialty training at the University of Illinois at Chicago Hospitals' Pediatric Dental Residency Program. Additionally, she received her Master of Science in Oral Sciences at the University of Illinois at Chicago Graduate College.
Dr. Sandor is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, International Association of Pediatric Dentistry, American Dental Association, Florida Dental Association, American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, and the American Dental Association.
